Determine®
The globally-recognized Determine® line of
rapid in vitro qualitative immunoassays helps detect three potent
sexually transmitted diseases-HIV, hepatitis B and syphilis–rapidly
and reliably.
Determine® HIV-1/2 is an in vitro, visually read,
qualitative immunoassay for the detection of antibodies to HIV type
1 and type 2 in human serum, plasma and whole blood. With its
simple one-step procedure for serum/plasma and two step
procedure for whole blood, Determine® HIV-1/2 is quick
and easy to use, delivering clear, dependable results in just 15
minutes.
Recently introduced is the new fourth-generation rapid HIV
diagnostic test Determine® HIV-1/2 Ag/Ab Combo, which is
able to detect HIV infection earlier than HIV antibody-only tests.
Determine® HIV-1/2 Ag/Ab Combo enables simultaneous
separate detection of HIV p24 antigen (Ag) and antibodies (Ab) for
HIV-1 and HIV-2 in human serum, plasma, or whole blood.
Determine® HBsAg is also an in vitro immunoassay for
the detection of hepatitis B surface antigens in human serum,
plasma and whole blood. Again, dependable results are ready in just
15 minutes. By detecting early markers of infection,
Determine® HBsAg will help diagnose acute infection,
confirm chronic infection, and screen blood supplies, in locations
where there is no power or water.
Using similar technology, Determine® Syphilis TP
is a visually-read, qualitative immunoassay for the detection
of antibodies to Treponema pallidum in human whole blood or
serum/plasma collected by either a fingerstick or venipuncture.
