Inverness Medical TestPack^®

The Inverness Medical TestPack^® range provides rapid point-of-care diagnostic immunoassays for the detection of pregnancy and Group A Streptococcus infection. Their built-in on-board controls (OBC) provide reassurance that results are trustworthy, reducing the need for external quality control. OBC checks are incorporated for reagent mixing, specimen migration and validation.

TestPack hCG Urine is a rapid immunoassay for the qualitative detection of hCG in urine. Urine added to the sample well of the reaction disc migrates through the membrane and mobilizes the anti-hCG monoclonal antibody-colloid to provide a visual indication of the presence of hCG. If hCG is present in the urine at levels of 25 mIU/ml or greater, a + sign appears in the result window; a - sign indicates no hCG was detected. TestPack hCG Combo is a similar immunoassay for both urine and serum.

TestPack Strep A is a rapid immunoassay for the detection of Group A Streptococcal antigen in throat swab specimens from patients with suspected Group A Streptococcal-associated pharyngitis and for confirmation of presumptive Streptococcus Group A colonies isolated on culture plates. As the antibody colloid complex migrates through the membrane, it is captured by the Group A Strep antibody in the result window, providing a visual indication of the presence of antigen.
